Three Waters Productions was founded in 2005 by Miao Wang as a fully integrated independent film production company that develops and produces films for global distribution.

Three Waters Productions's first feature-length documentary, Beijing Taxi, premiered at SXSW, won several awards, and has toured over 40 film festivals and institutions worldwide. It was broadcast nation-wide on PBS and distributed on DVD and iTunes.

Three Waters Productions's focus is on creative and cinematic films that tell poignant human stories, inspire cultural understanding, build connections, and a more humanist perspective of the world.

Maineland (2017)

Yellow Ox Mountain (2006)

A reflection on the artistic inspirations and personal journeys of two contemporary Chinese artists, Zhang Hongtu and Zhang Jian-Jun, whose lives and work span from the post-Cultural Revolution political environment of China to today's thriving Chinese contemporary art community of New York.
